Fivejays is based in the Fenland district of East Anglia, about ten miles east of Peterborough.
We undertake professional grooming of dogs and cats, dog training at classes or on a one-to-one basis, and are able to provide animal demonstrations to schools and other similar establishments with dogs, a sheep, a pig and other assorted animals.
Our aims are to have a purpose built education centre to teach children and adults (able bodied and special needs people) to care for their pets (cats, dogs, rabbits etc), hopefully before they buy the pets. This in turn will help cut down on the number of pets needing to go through rescue homes, which in turn will cut their work load.
Most people are not being deliberately cruel, its just that they don't know what to expect. We are not here to prejudge, we are here to try and help the people that find themselves unable to cope.
There will be a riding school for special needs as well as able bodied people, training hall for animals from dogs to cats, rabbits etc, tea rooms, wildlife hospital, craft workshop etc.
It will take a lot of hard work and commitment to bring our dream to reality. We are not funded by grants or sponsorships, so we rely solely on your support and gifts.
